Project Overview

In January 2016, the Aquidneck Land Trust (ALT) and the Town of Portsmouth partnered to purchase this unique waterfront property in Portsmouth, RI for the development of Mt. Hope Park, a new permanently conserved park land.  The van Beuren Charitable Foundation has given ALT funding for a master planning process to ensure quality design and planning for the park.

The Town of Portsmouth has submitted a grant application to RIDEM’s 2018 Green Space Grant Program for implementation of Phase 1 – Code Compliance and Site Opening of the Final Master Plan.
